Will one of your websites help my business?

3rd Planet Media will not just design your website, but harness a variety of powerful website marketing methods to increase your customer base.
In fact, like many of our customers you'll proberbly find that with the extra custom that the website generates, the website will pay for itself several times over!
How much work will I have to do?
Once you have signed-up for a website with 3rd Planet Media, we will contact you to find out how you would like your website to look, and to find out about your industry.
We will give you a choice of up to 5 different templates for your industry type, and you will need to provide us with the content that is required to go on your website (such as text or photos).
Any content that you do not have, we can produce for you.
What is the process involved in developing my website?
The process used is:
- We will show you a selection of high quality, professional templates aimed at your business sector,
- We purchase and register your choice of domain name on your behalf. You will be provided with 1 domain name with the option to buy more,
- We will design a new logo for your company or incorporate your existing one.
- You will need to provide any textual and graphical content you wish to be on the site,
- We will incorporate your content into the new website,
- We will develop and e-commerce and custom components,
- We will provide you with a link to proof your new site (you can suggest any minor alterations at this point),
- We will set up your email addresses,
- We will then move your site from our development host to our dedicated host,
- At this point your site will be live,
- We will submit your site to major search engines every month and continue to actively promote your site,
- We will maintain all aspects of your site for the duration of your time with us.
At what point do I have to pay?
We require a small set-up fee to be paid up-front to cover overheads.
The remainder of the balance is due upon delivery of the website.
How long will it take to have my website designed?
Typically we aim to have your website online within 21 days of your order. Excludes custom websites.
Will my website work on all major computers?
Yes. We build our websites based on the latest standards that are designed to run on all major machines and platforms.
How will my website be marketed?
Your website will be:
- Submitted on a monthly basis to the major search engines,
- Linked to a multitude of business directories,
- Plug directly into Google and Yahoo,
- Listed on Yell.com (online Yellow Pages) if requested.
Can you design a logo for my company?
Yes. Logo design is an optional add-on, available when you sign-up.
Can I have my existing company logo?
Of course. You can supply whatever content you would like on your website, and we can design the rest.
Is it possible to update my website once it's built?
Yes. Each website package comes with a certain amount of free minor updates per year.
A minor update includes small alterations to text or pictures, small new additions, or new additions to the content where the content is already written.
Major updates and redevelopments are priced according to the scale of the development.
Custom websites may also include the facility for self-administering content through easy-to-use forms.
When can updates be made, and how long will they take?
You can request an update and use your update quota whenever you like.
Many of our clients like to use updates to advertise sales, clearance stock, or special offers around holiday times.
Typically, we aim to complete simple updates within 24 hours.
What happens once I have used my update quota?
You can still have more updates as you need them, but they will be charged additionally at the rate of £15 per update.
What is Web Hosting?
Web hosting is the service of storing your website on an online server with a very high bandwidth, that can be retrieved all over the world using the Internet.
Why do you charge an annual fee?
3rd Planet Media do
not charge a large initial fee and then leave you to it, with hefty fees for future updates.
We do things differently!
By charging a reasonable subscription fee, we are able to offer a continuing service that
includes marketing and updates as part of the package price.
What payment types do you accept?
We accept payment by cheques, bank transfers, paypal, or Escrow.
Debit and Credit-cards may be accepted by either of the last two options.
Why can't I find my website on the search engines?
When you buy a website through 3rd Planet Media, we market it through all the major search engines using a number of powerful techniques, although it can take up to 4 weeks to get recognised.
If you already have a website and can't seem to get the Google/Yahoo rankings you need, then look no further!
How do I cancel my website subscription?
You may cancel with 3rd Planet Media at any time, although we do ask for 30 days notice to avoid paying further domain regsitration costs.
